Spring Activities to Look Forward to in the Renton Community

The first day of spring has finally arrived and we’ve already experienced a fair amount of sunny days in the city of Renton. While we say goodbye to cold gray winter days, spring’s arrival means it is time for more outdoor focused activities and events. Spring is a time for new beginnings and fresh starts, and there’s no better way to welcome in the season change than by helping out in the community. The City of Renton has a few events planned for next month that you don’t want to miss out on. On April 1st, the Renton Downtown partnership is organizing a spring cleaning event in downtown Renton. The event is being held from 9am-11am and anyone can volunteer. Gloves, trash bags, grabbers, and other supplies will be provided, but you are more than welcome to bring your own. Spring cleaning is a yearly tradition that anyone can participate in and you can do your part to help keep the Renton community clean.

Further out in the month of April, is the annual Arbor and Earth Day event held on April 22nd. This event will begin at 9am and volunteers will meet at the Cedar River Trail Extension. Earth Day is celebrated globally on April 22nd and it helps raise awareness about protecting the Earth and its natural resources for future generations. Renton community members can join in by helping to spread beauty bark and planting trees to promote a healthier environment. They’ll also be installing storm drain markers around the area. Storm drain markers are used as a visual reminder for Renton residents that pollutants such as trash, paint, and oil should never be dumped down a drain. Most drains are directly connected to streams and can negatively affect the water quality of our city. Not only could the health of our water supply be affected, but the water supply of other communities nearby as well.

Trusted Plumbing and Heating is also focused on protecting the city’s drains and giving back to its residents. We are proud members of the Renton community and have served its population for almost four decades. At Trusted, we believe that the best way to give back to our community is by protecting the sewers systems of the home and business owners who live in Renton. So when you need excellent customer service and sewer specialists call Trusted Plumbing and Heating. Our customers know that they can trust us with all of their plumbing needs in Renton.
